Aloha Attitude Breezes into Glendale at Maui Wowi

The Valley’s first full scale Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies location is opening in Glendale Crossing mall, and they’ll be making quite a “splash” with plenty of Aloha Spirit during a Grand Opening celebration Fri., April 20 (4:30 to 8pm) and all day Sat., April 21.

Fun activities include performances by Polynesian Dancers along with plenty of percolating island rhythms, plus appearances by KISS-FM Radio’s morning show star, Carrie, and the Arizona Sidewinders Cheerleaders. Visitors will receive a lei greeting followed by 1/2 price specials on most Maui Wowi smoothies and coffees. The free festivities also feature a chance to win a Hawaiian Vacation for two or a Maui Wowi Sun/Water Safety Bag for one lucky family. Other cool giveaways include a stuffed Maui Wowi Beach Bag for Saturday’s first 50 customers. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Glendale Kiwanis Charity Drive.

Riding a wave of mainland success for its healthy-yet-heavenly beverages, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies is now ready for the Phoenix West Valley, and vice versa. This new 5929 W. Band Wagon Brings Local Indie Rock Artists Together

Space 55 Theatre Ensemble presents its first foray into the realm of music, Band Wagon, a music showcase/extravaBANDza that will feature 8 incredibly talented local music acts. The event runs 3-11pm on April 7 at ArtStageSound (636 E. Pierce Street, Phoenix). Band Wagon will feature some of Phoenix’s hottest up-and-coming independent bands, hand-picked for their potential by Space 55 Theatre Ensemble member (and fellow musician) Lauren Henschen.
